CyStack BaseCheck is an automated assessment system that classifies the security level of information systems operating on the Internet (e.g., websites, APIs, servers, DNS infrastructure, email services, etc.). The system relies entirely on data collected from public sources (built from CyStack Threat Intelligence and CyStack VulnScan) — the same information an attacker could access — providing a realistic view of the system’s attack surface.

Objectives of CyStack BaseCheck

  • Quickly evaluate the risk level of any system using only a domain name or IP address
  • Prioritize remediation, focusing on systems with higher risk levels (D) first
  • Help system owners understand issues clearly, from information leaks and misconfigurations to security vulnerabilities
  • Provide a common and easy-to-understand language for reporting security posture to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
